Sitting in this San Jose garden, I got to thinking about biodiversity.
Diversity is health.

Our culture often nudges us toward sameness, yet nature flourishes in diversity.

Society is full of well-meaning people telling us how to live.
I’ve caught myself falling into that trap.

Drink this.
Don’t eat that.
Meditate this way.
Build your business like this.
Follow these five steps to success.

Sometimes such wisdom is genuinely helpful.
Yet no one else knows how you’re meant to blossom.

Brain-compatible learning teaches us we each process the world in our own way.
We’re meant to be different. It’s how an ecosystem thrives.

Surrounded by hummingbirds, lemon trees, dahlias, and the diverse hum of life, I know that nature celebrates uniqueness.
And we are nature.

Then, the smarter question is: How do I become more fully myself?

The only way is inward.
Your true authority is within.

That’s why Orion and I create experiences, rather than prescriptions.

We use:

Sound.
Breath.
Silence.
Movement.
Nature.
Inquiry.
Community.

As an architect, I see the metaphor clearly: we build structures to help you go in.
