How many versions of yourself have you been?

The good one. The rebel. The responsible one. The wild one. The caretaker. The achiever. The one who disappeared. The one who took up more space.

We shapeshift all the time.

Some identities were consciously chosen. Some helped us belong. Some kept us safe. Some were handed to us so early we forgot they were ever optional.

Some don’t fit anymore. And some are simply waiting for you.

One of the things we explore in the Heartifact Ecosystem is the architecture of identity: the stories, roles, patterns, beliefs, and energetic structures that quietly organize a life. Some of this old identities also quietly keep you from your best life.

Transformation is inevitable.

So why not do it on purpose and with space for all of your parts?

Or apparently, you can just go to @rowanandroselincoln and try them all on. 😂💃🏻💃🏼💃🏽💃🏾💃🏿

🌳 YES, I TALK TO TREES. 🌳

I’ve spent a good portion of my life climbing trees — hugging them, playing with them, listening to them, learning from them, and talking to them.

Early on, I discovered they’re extraordinary teachers.

One particular memory stands out. In my second year of college, almost 40 years ago, I climbed a dead tree to understand why there was still so much life in and around it. I sat there for a good while watching the ants climb, noticing the nests. Then I wrote a paper on it.

I think of them as the wise elders I always wished I had.

Last Saturday, we gathered for our Tree of Life, Tree of Self workshop at Inner Space Academy, exploring the architecture of our own consciousness through the living wisdom of trees.

From the roots beneath our feet to the branches reaching toward the stars, we explored the relationship between our embodied intelligence, the living world, and the vast library of consciousness available to us.

One of my favorite tree insights?

🌳 the deeper we root, the higher we rise. (and we are rooting and growing simultaneously!)

Just like trees, our expansion and embodiment are part of the same dance.

Ascension and Descension? One movement. 🌀

Our roots nourish our branches. Our branches feed our roots. And our heart is the meeting place. 🫀

I’ve gathered a few of my favorite tree teachings into this little photo journey through the years. Some are profound. Some are playful. All are invitations to remember our relationship with the living world.

Swipe through and tell me which tree wisdom speaks to you the most? 🌲

✨ And good news: the exploration continues December 12 with our next Inner Space Academy workshop — The Living Library: Navigating the Akashic Records. We’ll practice exploring The Living Library with conscious dowsing.

P.S. Oh, and that beam of light in the final photograph? IRL. No AI. No Photoshop. Just the sun beaming data right to me, caught by the magical @orionsongcatcher. 😉☀️

How does magic meet everyday life? What if magic

How does magic meet everyday life?

What if magic isn’t mysterious because it’s unknowable, but because we haven’t learned how to work with it yet?

I sat down with the lovely @beatrixastera — owner of @rowanandroselincoln — for a conversation about magic, heartifacts, and pragmatic mysticism. We had too much fun to squeeze it into a 30-second reel, so we’re inviting you into the whole conversation. 🤭

🌿 Learn the literal magic behind the new name Rowan & Rose (formerly Bodhi Imports in Lincoln), from the sacred Celtic Rowan tree to the symbolism of the Rose.

🫀 Discover #Heartifacts — my playful term for the wise facts of the heart to unpack the deeper patterns shaping our lives.

⚡️ Hear Beatrix share her direct experience with my work, from discovering her star name to meeting herself across time to her joy in exploring Inner Space Academy.

Along the way, we wander in and out of feminine wisdom, systems thinking, time travel, and a few good laughs. 😂

It is said that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. (Thanks Arthur C. Clarke) I’ve learned that the most advanced technology on this planet is you. It is me. It is our incredible body and field. Miracles, mystery, and magic are already in the everyday, we just haven’t refined our consciousness to re-cognize them. We can learn to understand, embody, and participate with the extra-ordinary architecture of our lives.

What time is it? Time for more play. More magic.

What time is it?

Time for more play. More magic. More dancing with life.

We spend so much of our lives waiting for the right time. When we have more clarity. More money. More confidence. More certainty. When the world finally gives us permission.

But your life is always happening. Always becoming…

The future isn’t someplace you eventually arrive. You’re creating it in every little choice, the smallest movement, each investment — each thought, word, action.

The belly laughs, wrong turns, and gloriously imperfect takes. Life itself is risky. Yet, what feels like a dangerous risk to the mind, is a daring relief to the heart. (From my poem Leap)

The time is now. 🫀

On October 24, I’ll be back at Rowan & Rose offering Heartifact Microdose Sessions: short, potent journeys into your own inner architecture and the possibilities already waiting inside you. Sometimes you need a mirror to see your own beautiful nose. 🪞
