Ekphrastic: Poetry + Art
Join us for an Ekphrastic show featuring Harvester artists & local poets.
Ekphrastic refers to writing or poetry that vividly describes a work of visual art, using detailed verbal representation to bring a painting, sculpture, or other visual object to life and explore its meaning. This will be a sweet dialogue between music, the visual, and the literary.
Astara is one of the poets sharing her ekphrastic poem inspired by Julie Jenowe’s artwork, Orion will provide music accompaniment. There will be many other poets reading their poems inspired by artwork in the gallery.
