Michaela Brown of Moonbeam Health & Wellness join Astara and Orion of Illuminating Hearts at Omaha Power Yoga to bring you an incredible cacao ceremony deeply supported by Sound Alchemy, fluid movement, guided meditation, and journaling. This is a magical collective time where we can connect to open our mind to what is beyond the reach of our eyes and instead see with our heart, our core, and inner vision.
The instruments help dissolve the noise inside you that is not you, allowing more flow and ease in your system. With the help of cacao and sound, throw old outworn stories onto the bonfire of your heart.
Michaela will lead us through the medicinal gifts of cacao as we ceremonially sip the cacao together, preparing our bodies for heart opening. During the cacao ceremony, Astara and Orion’s cathedral of sound creates sonic architecture for you to turn inward and reconnect to the magnificence of your heart, body, and soul. The cacao in combination with the sound is vibrational medicine that acts as an attunement, bringing you into accord or sympathetic relationship with the frequency of love that you are made of. We will share toning, fluid movement, and breathwork to deepen our awareness of the heart, body, and energy field. Our resonance time machine opens you to the multi-dimensional nature you are, allowing you to access your heart and the quantum field in a clearer way.

What is Cacao?
Raw cacao is the pure origin of what we know as chocolate. The fruit of the cacao tree contains beans from which the cacao is extracted and chocolate is made – with many additional ingredients. Cacao is native to Central and South America. Over its rich 4,000-year history, cacao has served as food and beverage, health elixir and spiritual elixir, sacred healing medicine, and potent aphrodisiac.
Moonbeam Cacao Ceremonies use 100% pure ceremonial grade cacao from a multigenerational Maya family business in a small village in Belize. Michaela’s relationship with this family started nearly a decade ago when she worked for a nonprofit to support their business. Their cacao is organic, sustainably sourced, and made with love, romance, and laughter, the most authentic heart medicine infusion. In the ceremony, the cacao will be brewed as a warm liquid and prepared with a traditional assortment of native spices and honey.

Michaela Brown is a Clinical Herbalist, RH (AHG), Reiki Master, Registered Yoga Teacher, Birth Doula, and owner of Moonbeam Health and Wellness, LLC. She offers private herbal consultations and reiki healing sessions and facilitates cacao ceremonies in Omaha, her hometown. Michaela’s cacao ceremonies are infused with her personal experiences and connections from living in Peru, Belize, and around Africa for 3 years and knowledge in herbalism traditions from around the world. Astara is a heartrepreneur, illuminator, soul guide, songstress, Jedi, sound dealer, biomusicologist, scholar, pragmatic mystic, word weaver, architect, and biophiliac. Astara is the first and only certified Facilitator of The Energy Codes in Nebraska, and an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church. Astara is a wellness innovator with over 21 years of experience in metaphysics, intuitive spirituality and sustainable architecture. As co-founder of Illuminating Hearts, Astara shares a diverse body of soul knowledge in her Heartifact Archaeology and Heartifact Coaching offerings, comprising an eco-system of psycho-spiritual disciplines inviting empowerment, wholeness and authenticity into daily life. Her shamanic training includes Laurie Bates, Nan Moss, David Corbin, Jose Stevens, Jill Kuykendall, Hank Wesselman, and Michael Harner. Orion is a diverse, biodynamic, and mindful organic sound farmer, sound dealer, field recording wizard, pragmatic mystic, Jedi, stand-up philosopher, bio-musicologist, and an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church. Orion cultivates heart-centered living. His professional background over the past 25 years diversely includes aerospace physiology trainer in the Air Force, emergency medical technician (EMT-basic), educator (K-12), volunteer fireman, professional musician, builder, artisan, and a corporate trainer/supervisor at Best Buy. Orion holds a Lean Six Sigma-Green Belt, thereby furthering his passion for collaboration and working in diverse teams to improve performance and proficiency. In addition to his passion as a sound creator and song catcher, Orion is also an artist and skilled woodworker. His wide range of experience lends to his gifts as a facilitator and teacher. First and foremost, Orion is passionate about mindful and sober living. As a recovering addict himself, he brings compassion and wisdom about the path of recovery in all aspects of life and encourages others to wake up and build new behaviors to come out of hiding in their lives. Orion is a powerful ideator and can help you innovate your life, your relationships, and business. His many years with the bass guitar, didgeridoo, flute, drum, singing bowl, and gong have taught him much. Above all, Orion’s intention is to resonate with the world from the heart through breath and rhythm. Orion’s calling is to be a channel for sacred resonance to create sonic space for you. His other calling is to capture organic sounds so you can take some of resonance medicine home. He knows we are all plucked, strummed, bowed and blown into vibration and resonance by a cosmic love. Beyond weaving a sonic palette, or capturing songs for Illuminating Hearts or in nature, he can be found building artisan furniture from reclaimed wood or walking with Astara and their amazing “Brown Dog”.

Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?
As an event for deep exploration, relaxation, and meditation participants must be at least 18 to maintain this atmosphere.
What can I bring into the event?
Dress Comfortably. Bring your favorite blanket, yoga mat, pillow, whatever you need to make a comfortable nest. If you have attended an Illuminating Hearts sound immersion before, please bring your mindfold/eyemask. If this is your first one, you will be provided one.
What’s the refund policy?
Payments are nonrefundable after the pre-registration deadline 11/29/19. Pease contact Omaha Power Yoga for assistance.
Will there be filming or recording at the event?
When you enter an Illuminating Hearts (IH) event, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. Read our full event policy, including a notice of filming, video and photography. Upon entering the event, you agree to our event policy and effectively release IH, its illuminators and collaborators, and each and all persons involved, from any liability connected with filming or recording. You also waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties associated with the recording. Our intention for filming and recording is to harvest beauty for the world.
