Join us for a very special yoga + sound benefit + a sweet farewell to the Om Center (1216 Howard St. in the Old Market) — this is the last official event at this beloved event center in Omaha. All proceeds will go to
Project Intentional.
This is a donation-based event and there is no advanced registration. Suggested donation starts at $20 — the more you pay, the more you support Project Intentional. Pay at door. Bring yoga mat as well as nesting materials for the sound after. We suggest you arrive early around 5:30-5:45 pm to find parking and grab your spot!
Yoga + Sound
In collaboration with yoga instructor Theresa Cassaday, Astara and Orion of
Illuminating Hearts accompany the yoga practice with an intentional holistic soundscape — also called Nāda Yoga. Nāda yoga is based on the premise that all that exists in the cosmos, including human beings, consists of an eternal stream of sound vibrations. Nāda is the infinite unstruck sound inside you and around you, with no beginning or end. Our sonic container helps you remember your connection to your body, resonate with your inner sound and wisdom, and reconnect to the great sound stream of universal consciousness we call Om.
Sound Alchemy
After yoga, immerse yourself fully in our Sound Alchemy, like an extended savasana.
Sound Alchemy is a restorative, multi-instrumental-vibrational-time-machine creating a supportive space for you to renew and reconnect to your bio-intelligence. Our multi-instrumental sonic architecture represents musical traditions from around the world, including the gong, didgeridoo, flute, drum, shruti box, singing bowl, hand pan, bell, voice, and more. Our instruments help dissolve the noise inside you that is not you, allowing more flow and ease in your system. Sound Alchemy is a channeled energy transmission, lifting you in expanded resonance, integrating hidden soul parts, and revealing healing through your own wholeness.
